Callkeep Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 July 2026. Callkeep is made by Ruth McCarthy, Ireland. Questions: [email protected]

The short version

The callbacks you log in Callkeep stay on your phone. We have no analytics and we cannot see your customers, their numbers or your notes.

What the app stores

Callbacks (customer name, number, reason, who owns it, when it is due), your templates, your team member names and colours, and your reminder settings are saved on your device in the app's own storage. Deleting the app deletes all of this data.

Your contacts and calls

Callkeep never reads your call history, your messages or your address book. When you use Pick from contacts, Apple's own picker opens and hands the app only the single contact you choose. Apple does not allow any app to see missed calls or texts, which is why capture in Callkeep works by copy and paste, sharing, or the contact picker.

iCloud backup

Your Callkeep data is included in your own iPhone iCloud backup when you have iCloud Backup switched on. That copy travels from your phone to Apple directly; we never receive, see or hold it.

Team sync

A team sync feature, where callbacks are shared live between your team's phones, is under development. It is not part of the app today. Before it ships, this policy will be updated to say exactly what syncs, where it is stored and how it is protected, and the app will tell you before anything leaves your phone.

Purchases

Callkeep subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active; this involves an anonymous device identifier and receipt data, never your name, email or customers. Payment details are handled by Apple and never reach us.

Your choices

Settings has Export (CSV or a full JSON backup you can keep anywhere) and Delete all my data, which wipes every callback, template and setting from the phone.
