Your logbook stays on your phone. We run no servers, require no account, and collect no analytics, no location data and no personal information. We cannot see your sightings, photos, notes or places.
Everything you record (sightings, photos, notes, airports and spots) is saved only on your device, in the app's own storage. Photos you take or choose are copied into that storage; the app only touches photos you explicitly pick, never your whole library. Deleting your data in the app, or deleting the app itself, removes all of it.
The app's backup copies your log to your own personal iCloud storage using Apple's standard protections. It runs quietly when you open the app with something new to save, and can be run by hand in Settings. The copy travels from your phone to Apple directly; we never receive, see or hold it, and Apple's iCloud terms apply to that storage. Deleting all your data in the app clears the iCloud copy too.
The map draws its background from OpenStreetMap (openstreetmap.org), so showing it makes a standard web request to their servers for the map picture. Like any web request they see your IP address and which map area was asked for, and nothing else: none of your sightings, photos or personal details are sent. Your dots are drawn on the device. Beyond this and iCloud, the app makes no network requests.
Purchases are processed by Apple and, for purchase management, RevenueCat. Neither shares your identity with us; we see anonymous purchase state only.
If you email support, we see the address you write from and use it only to reply.
If this policy ever changes, the update appears on this page with a new date at the top.
